Subway Surfers is an endless runner mobile game developed by Kiloo and SYBO and released in 2012. Players control a graffiti-tagging teenager (most commonly Jake) who runs through subway tracks while being chased by a police inspector and his dog. The objective is to dodge trains, obstacles, and barriers while collecting coins and power-ups. Players can unlock new characters, hoverboards, and special abilities to improve their runs. The game’s colorful graphics, smooth controls, and “World Tour” updates—featuring cities from around the globe—have made it one of the most downloaded mobile games ever.
